Stays cool with the stock cooler but upgrading it would probably be just a little bit better but good enough for gaming performance is out of the park for the price, if your looking for a CPU with an IGPU DO NOT get this one it does not have integrated graphics you WILL need a GPU just a fair warning, i have a GPU so it wasn’t a problem that’s why i got it but overall great CPU.

  2. DOdouble

Great performance right out of the box. I went from a i5 to this and what a difference. Great budget cpu for gaming.

j’ai bien reçu mon colis bien scellé et à temps. Je n’ai pas encore testé . Merci

Honestly for $83 you can’t beat it. The AM4 platform doesn’t have to be a thing of the past. I only needed a decent cpu to add to my setup and for the money I couldn’t ask for more. Temps run great, performance is there and it’s all I can ask for. Brand new in the sealed box, came with everything needed for install and the standard cooler works perfect for this cpu!

works very well and is a amazing cpu. If you are doing a budget build i would go for this all day!

This chip has amazing performance for its price it can run all the triple A games no prob, temps with stock cooler do run pretty high I would highly recommend getting an aftermarket cooler for gaming on this chip. That stock cooler is a nightmare to put on, not for beginners.

Box was damaged just a little bit when arrived, but inside of it everything was in perfect condition. Installation was easy, comes with stock cooler, didn’t use it cuz i had better air cooler. Runs great, idle temps were 28 to 32°C with normal air cooler. I think core size are enough for some gaming and some work. On load maximum CPU temperature was 62°C (Shadow Of The Tomb Raider). It really is the best CPU at this price point 🙌❤️

It’s the best entry level processor you can buy right now. At 7000rs it provides a ridiculous price to performance value.

6c processor is the perfect sweet spot for entry/mid level gaming. Pair it up with any GPU under 3060Ti and it will make an amazing gaming pc.

I do a weekly show on YouTube, Twitch and Kick that I multi stream locally using Prism Live Studio. For a very long time I had been using an old i7-7700k with a GTX 1080 and 32 GB of ram. However, as the show evolved and started to use more and more effects and full motion backgrounds it struggled to do 1080p 30 FPS streaming. I started having encoding fails during the show and stuttering due to drop frames and encoding overload. I started wondering if it was my graphics card, but everyone on forums for streaming all said a GTX 1080 was more than enough for dedicated streaming.

When I had a recent failure I looked at the CPU usage and it was pegged at 100%. I then accepted that fact that I had to upgrade the CPU which meant I also needed to upgrade the motherboard and memory. The last thing I wanted to do was spend a ton a money for this machine and started researching my options. In the last couple of years I made the switch from team blue to team red for my gaming and audio recording / video machines and had been extremely happy. (I have two gaming towers and a 3u rack mounted recording studio machine that I have all built custom.) I knew that the AM4 platform was cheaper these days due to the AM5 out now so I looked at Passmark CPU benchmarks to see what was out there. To my surprise, the best value/performance CPU listed in the #2 spot was the Ryzen 5 5500 for $83 on Amazon. After looking at all the specs and benchmarks, I thought this was a significant upgrade from the 7700k but at a really low price. So I figured what the heck and gave it a shot. I should also mention that I bought a MSI B550-A Pro and 64 GB of Corsair 3200 DDR4 memory. (Memory was overkill but it was cheap.)

I am so extremely happy with my decision. Not only am I streaming now at 1080p 60FPS at 6000 kbps, but my CPU usage averages around 12% – 15% with occasional spikes to 20%. This thing is a work horse. I was also able to under volt and overclock the CPU to 5.65 GHZ with temps no higher than 64C at full load using a Cooler Master – Hyper 212 Halo. I’m just so blown away by what a value you get with the power this setup has. If you need a cost effective machine for tasks like this, then look no further. You won’t be disappointed. I look forward to many years of streaming with this setup. That is until 4k become standard for live streaming. ; ). But we’ll cross that bridge when we get there.

This cpu works great for gaming and you can save money. Especially when it’s on sale for a good price.

Although it does lack in some cases like CPU heavy games.
Like Fortnite if you have this budget cpu and paired it with an Rtx 4060 for a budget build Fortnite will have some frame dips.
Because of the Gpu being too powerful for the cpu. But in Gpu heavy games it works great.
Temperatures on the cpu are consistent never going to high.
But do be warned that games like Fortnite will not be playable on any other graphic settings besides performance mode.
Trying to launch the game max or on lowest settings of direct 12 will cause major dips in frames. Even with a good pc. I believe it has to just be the cpu not being strong enough. I think that other variables that affect the cpu would be background software like discord and if you use msi afterburner then the fps counter could cause frame issues.
Ram is a factor and storage type.
So if your buying this cpu for gaming specifically Fortnite run the game on performance and keep the resolution to 80% to 100% then your fine if you want frames.
But don’t let my review scare you go with what you believe is best. In my case this cpu was definitely worth the price. And been using it for a few months now with no problems.

Great CPU for a new computer on a budget. I used it in my main PC for gaming, photo, and video editing. No complaints. More than enough horsepower for most tasks and a great option if you want to stay on budget. And I never felt like it was slowing anything down.
